My week in Paris!

I've had the opportunity to go to Paris this week as my girlfriend's parents moved here at the start of the year. Since restrictions have eased slightly we decided to come and visit.

First of all, Paris is a beautiful city full to the brim with wonderful cafe's, bars, restaurant's and much more.

With my girlfriend, I have visited the royal palace, Notre Dame cathedral, the Eiffel tower, been to art exhibitions, ate some wonderful food and drank lots and lots of good wine and beer and smoked a few lovely cigars (a guilty pleasure of mine from time to time).

As much as I have enjoyed the break from reality, I am genuinely excited to get back home to my wonderful wee dog Ziggy! I'm also incredibly excited to get back to my exercise routine. I've recently began training for my Yin yoga teacher training course and I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things with that as well.

Being on holiday can be amazing for a few reasons. Eating without caring is ok for short periods at a time, for me at least, it reminds me why I take care of my nutrition in the first place. It can remind us from time to time we just need to switch off, to focus on ourselves! Most importantly in my opinion however is the ability a holiday can have on our creativity! I'm so focused on bringing more to the table for my career and my clients and myself personally.

Even if you don't have the opportunity to go on holiday this year. Get away from home, even just for the day, take a long drive, go for lunch, cycle a new route, climb a hill. Something to take you away and just let your mind relax from the stresses of everyday life. Trust me, it's worth it!

Relax once in a while and feel the benefits!
